Why would an insurance company be named Raffles
Insurance, Ltd.? When the initial shareholders of
Raffles named their company, they wanted the name to
reflect their entrepreneurial vision for the future of
the company. So after much thought and research, the
company was named for Sir Thomas Stamford Raffles, who
was primarily responsible for beginning trade between
Singapore and Great Britain. |
